- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer
Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a specialized field
(e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP, etc.), or equivalent practical
experience.
- 1 year of experience working in a hardware engineering lab
environment, or an advanced degree.
- Ability to lift/move 30lb (14kg) of equipment and ability to
exert yourself physically over extended periods of time, including
frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, pushing/pulling and
lifting.Preferred qualifications:
- 3 years of experience working in an Engineering laboratory
environment.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams on bring-up
tasks (e.g., hardware assembly, programming with hardware tools,
and firmware updates).
- Experience configuring Arista network switches.
- Experience managing and organizing lab inventory of highly used
consumables by lab users.About the jobAs a Hardware Engineer, you
will design and build the systems that are the heart of the world's
largest and most powerful computing infrastructure. You will see

Google users.As a Specialized Hardware Test engineer, you will work
with a team of hardware test engineers who are responsible for
prototype bring-up, validation, and qualification of server,
networking, and optical platforms. You will also be responsible for
liaison between engineering design and test teams to ensure lab
resources are accounted for and that you are 'lab-ready' for new
products entering the Research and Development (RandD) labs as well
as support, sustain and debug efforts. In addition, you will ensure
the labs are well organized and operate in a safe working

salary range for this full-time position is $102,000-$150,000 +
bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by
role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting
reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position
across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is
determined by work location and additional factors, including
job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

- Perform linux systems administrative tasks which will include
debugging system and network issues related to lab networks, and
connectivity to engineering test setups.
- Work with cross-functional teams on tasks such as prototype
hardware assembly, program with hardware tools, and install
firmware updates.
- Receive and manage hardware components and material for
projects and disperse hardware per allocation plan.
- Work with teams bringing up new labs and services. Tasks
include documenting lab bench and rack configurations and
prioritize tasks related to project bring up.
- Manage and organize lab inventory of consumables and equipment
utilized by lab users. Maintain an organized, clean and safe
