Job Description:
A company is looking for a Referral Specialist to manage patient
referrals and ensure compliance with insurance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Verify eligibility and benefits, obtaining necessary authorizations
for treatment
Respond to inquiries from third-party payors, employers, and
internal staff while maintaining health plan guidelines
Monitor patient needs and prepare written reports while ensuring
confidentiality of information
Required Qualifications
High School diploma or GED; Associate's degree preferred
At least 6 months of experience in healthcare
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal
supervision
Critical thinking and decisive judgment skills
Knowledge of managed care and insurance processes
