Add to Favorites Firmware Verification EngineerDescriptionIn the Firmware Verification role, you will work with a strong team of component validation, firmware developers, and system engineers to build firmware verification infrastructure, test cases and validate end-to-end physical layer performance. You will design and develop frameworks to verify 4G/5G firmware and work with Systems/Firmware teams to perform validation of new and existing features. You will assist in the development of pre-silicon emulation systems/virtual platforms and use them for firmware design and HW verification. You will verify key protocol, signal processing, and numerical algorithms with very tight time, latency, and energy budgets.Minimum Qualifications

• BS with 3 + years of relevant industry experience.
• Expert-level programming abilities in C, C++, and Python.
• Deep understanding of computer architecture, software engineering principles, and core computer science fundamentals.
• Strong analysis and debugging capabilities to be able to root cause issues and work on solutions with firmware development.Preferred Qualifications
  • Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science.
  • Coursework or exposure in basic digital communications and digital signal processing.
  • Good knowledge of 5G and 4G 3GPP physical layer and protocol stack procedures and configurations.
  • Experience with silicon prototyping, emulation systems, and virtual platforms.At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range.
